Today we will show you how to prepare some delicious ground beef carrot fritters, in a simple, quick way and adding ingredients that are easy to find at home. We select ground beef with low percentage of fat to make them richer and healthier.
Ingredients
- 500 grams of lean ground beef
- 2 carrots
- ½ onion
- 2 eggs
- 2 medium potatoes
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 ½ tablespoons butter
- 1 cup of wheat flour (140 grams)
Preparation
- Peel and finely grate the carrots and chop the onion into small pieces.
- Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a frying pan over low heat, browning the meat and chopped onion. Sauté stirring the mixture with a kitchen spatula until the onion is golden brown.
- Boil water in a small pot and cook the potatoes until they are soft. Then remove them, drain them and mash them well with the butter. In another saucepan, boil the carrots until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, mashed potatoes, carrots, pepper and onion. Stir everything together until well mixed.
- Divide the mixture into 8 individual balls and then shape them into patties with your hands, then dredge each ground beef and carrot fritter in flour on each side to coat them so they don’t stick to the surface of the pan.
- Heat the remaining oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the fritters until golden brown. Serve immediately. If you want to bake them, place them in the oven on a lightly oiled baking sheet at 180°C for 35 minutes, about 17 and a half minutes on each side.
